Patients are noticing the difference with EMRs. An EMR is a computer-based medical record that contains everything from current patient information to medical history and billing.

In the past medical practices were hesitant to implement and EMR system because of the commitment it involves. Basically a third party company has to come in and do an overhaul of the entire system.

But after the implementation of EMRs, it is basically smooth riding, for patients and staff. Just think about it: making everything electronic, creating applications that involve every aspect of patient care, means no more filing, no more getting lost in the endless shuffle of paper. This is why EMRs might just be the answer. And the question: How can we make healthcare better?
